BACKGROUND
The Silicon Valley Poker Challenge is facilitated by SVEN in partnership with the World Poker Tour (WPT). The event raises money for charity by bringing the leaders of the poker world to compete with the leaders of the high tech ecosystem in a battle for pride on the poker tables. The event began in 2011 and was held again in 2012, both events being a success, with over $50,000 raised to date.

PARTICIPATE
This is a private event, and participation is by invitation only. It is restricted to the top poker professionals, as well as CXO/VP level tech executives, venture capitalists, serial entrepreneurs, and a select other few guests that are core to the high tech ecosystem.

CHARITY
In 2011 BUILD was our designated charity. In 2012, the WPT Foundation was our designated charity. The 2013 charity designee will be the Computer History Museum.
COMPUTER HISTORY MUSEUM
The Computer History Museum was formally established in 1999. The mission of the Computer History Museum is to preserve and present for posterity the artifacts and stories of the information age. As such, the Museum plays a unique role in the history of the computing revolution and its worldwide impact on the human experience.
