To do this effectively, marketing must understand markets and customers, lead from the front with strategy, build new muscles of data and analytics, embrace the age old magic of great storytelling, create micro-moments of amazing digital experiences coupled with the human touch and be accountable for revenue. Marketing must become a business leader first and marketer second.

Each CMO brings a different “super power” to the Growth Engine environment such as storytelling, messaging/positioning, and demand generation. Every company has its own unique needs because companies are at different ages, stages, etc. Our goal will be to first define what we’re referring to when we say “Today, Marketing is a company’s foremost Growth Engine” and then query our panelists on how they each achieved this in their own companies.
